Why We Don’t Need More Woman Engineers.

There’s a saying I like, “you can’t put a square peg in a round hole”.
It came to mind when I was watching an interview last week where some very articulate PR type woman from some liberal type organisation . You know the type that makes money on the back of campaigning for the oppressed by articulating why they are oppressed because nobody would realise this otherwise.
Anyway this well spoken woman was droning on about how we need more women engineers in this dreadfully unfairly male dominated sector. I’m sure you have heard the same speech before although not in the military context now that I think about it. It seems oddly acceptable that men can make up 99.8% of the defence force.
But let’s not get distracted..Well Spoken Woman was droning on about despite the hundreds of millions being ploughed into grants aimed at opening doors for woman in this space, more needed to be done to motivate and make meaningful impact. Well Spoken Woman was really getting a bit fired up and I could feel her frustration which came across as passionate and sincere I feel it’s fair to add. Perhaps proof that it is possible to indoctrinate yourself? Whatever her personal position I thought I could step in an offer some advice as to why her well intentioned and generously funded campaigns were having less impact than an anorexic at an all you can eat breakfast buffet. It’s for precisely the same reason as it happens, they simply don’t want what’s on offer.
You see we have exactly the right amount of female engineers and that amount is growing or decreasing at exactly the right rate. Why I hear you ask? Well it’s because at some point, most probably when organisations realised they could start making money by getting funding to help the oppressed (much like unions do), we forgot what makes us human. That something is our uniqueness. In this case men and women are being mashed together into a bundle and expected to be the same when we clearly aren’t designed that way.
Women over recent decades have been so brainwashed into thinking that they are opressed that they are prepared to almost walk through flames shoulder to shoulder with a man just to prove they are just as capable in any given task.
It’s absolutely absurd and very, very sad that women have clearly lost sight of their unique differences and specific traits that make them special and in fact head and shoulders above men in a host of different ways. If for example Well Spoken Women had jumped out her Black BMW with a banner that read “We need more Female GPs” then plonked herself down in the studio and backed that up with stats to demonstrate how few women doctors there were relative to male GPs then I would have agreed with her whole heartedly. Thats simply because woman are genetically gifted and predisposed to be better at caring and keeping frail, weak things alive. They naturally gravitate towards such fields so if there is an imbalance there that can’t be easily explained then there would be cause for investigation and intervention.
Don’t believe me ? Visit a male doctor and I bet before you have even got your left bum cheek comfortable in the chair he’s already diagnosed you in his head and is working out a way to get you back to the receptionist to pay and be on your way. The experience is very different when seeing a female doctor who will demonstrate far more empathy, compassion and expertise before arriving at a diagnosis.
This isn’t the only role where woman trump me either. Woman I find make far better managers with the ability to get more out of their employees simply because they don’t tend to treat them like employees as their male counterparts do.
Of course there are exceptions and those in the female form become engineers and that’s pretty special too.
